Stell, who is known for his golden voice and visuals, has once again become a stand out in the music world. His breath-taking performance of ‘Sometime, Somewhere’, originally sung by Sir Basil Valdez, at the Philippine National Artist Ryan Cayabyab‘s (affectionately known as Mr. C) “Gen C” concert has garnered high praise among fans, artists, and casuals.
Stell, who is famously a coach on The Voice Generations and currently The Voice Kids, proved his competence as such by putting his qualifications on full display. His voice was described as heavenly, and he even sang the song in a key higher than the original, much to the surprise of attendees.
Stell, overwhelmed by being able to perform on such a big stage at such a special event celebrating Mr. C’s 70th birthday alongside such amazing singers as Regine Valasquez Alcasid later tweeted:
“Sorry I didn’t have an update last night. It’s like I’m in heaven because my heart is so happy with what’s happening. I still can’t believe it. I only know one thing, I’m very happy. Thank you lord. I have so many to thank and that includes you, you who are reading this. Thank you for being my strength and inspiration. 😭🙏” (translation)
His performance has also sparked anticipation of a potential collaboration between Stell and Mr. C, as Mr. C himself posted on Facebook: “Stell. Exciting collab soooooooooon!” It will be exciting to see what beautiful music the two will again make together in the future.
Stell is also scheduled to appear alongside another famous artist, Mr. Erik Santos, at his MilEStone US and Canada Tour in June!
